About United
Black Student Unions of California upholds
the following principles: To represent the interests and concerns
of Black Students. To bring together all aspects of Black Student
life for the purpose of improving the campus environment.
Encourages involvement of Black students in ALL campus activities.
Discourage s and abates
institutional and individual acts and symbols of racism. Promotes
the spirit and tradition of excellence. Heightens awareness and
friendships between races.Gives you
the opportunity to meet other students in California. Plans
activities that cater to the African-American population. Holds
weekly discussions to educate others about African American
topics, as well as give you the opportunity to voice your opinion
on various subjects. A resource of opportunities for scholarships,
professional development, involvement in other organizations as
well as aiding in the transition into high school and a way of
life. Our Mission
United Black Student Unions of California is
committed to intellectual, cultural, social, and ethnic diversity.
Our main focus is to build awareness, education, and a new level
of consciousness about being an African American in this society.
We aim to teach others about diversity and show that through
engaging in activities focused around acceptance and tolerance, we
will get a better understanding of others while learning about
ourselves.

Being a member of BSU is one of the best ways to
meet new people. Whether you're a new student or have been at your
school awhile, there is something for you at BSU. Along with being
a great source of social interaction, we also provide student
services. We can provide you with tutors, mentors, anything you
need to ensure your success. |
