The United Black Student Unions of California organization works to bring about better racial relations on campus by promoting mutual respect for all cultures. The UBSUC encourages high school students to strive for higher education and the organization help makes the effort achievable by providing academic, arts, and service scholarships.

Since its inception in 1974 with the first United Black Students of California Convention held in Stockton under the leadership of Hattie Morris, groups of high school students, teachers and parent volunteers have gathered to promote cooperative efforts among high schools across the state. The annual UBSUC Convention provides panel discussions, distinguished lecturers, community service, campus-community interaction and college- readiness seminars and fairs. |
The United Black Student Unions of California has set a high precedence for excellence amongst our future leaders, it has given young African-Americans an opportunity to serve their schools, their communities and their people. It is with great pride that we continue this tradition of excellence.
