REGION ELECTION INFORMATION

The election of regional officers for U.B.S.U.C. will take place at the Regional Conferences. In order to be considered for an office in this election, each student must;

· Be a member of a club registered to participate in their perspective regional activities.

· Be a member of a club registered to attend the state convention

· Submit a completed Election Petition for your perspective region.

Offices open for election are listed below with the duties as described per the State Constitution.

PRESIDENT - Presides at state convention; attends all regional meetings to conduct business of the state organization under the direction of the Advisory Board. Get a Petition today

1^st VICE PRESIDENT - Presides in the absence of the president; maintains current state roster; member of the convention committee. Get a Petition today

2^nd VICE PRESIDENT - Perform duties as directed by the president, subject to the approval of the Advisory Board; assists the secretary in publishing the newsletter. Get a Petition today

SECRETARY - Records minutes at the state convention and all executive board meetings; duplicates and mails all convention minutes to chapters; works with the executive secretary of advisory board; publishes newsletter in conjunction with the executive board along with the 2^nd vice president. Get a Petition today

TREASURER - Compiles and presents the financial report from the previous convention under the direction of the advisory board; distributes annual financial report to executive board members; member of the credentials committee; presents the credentials report at the state convention. Get a Petition today

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS - Processes any concerns of the members of the organization maintains order in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order; assists the parliamentarian with the election. Get a Petition today

PARLIAMENTARIAN - Insures the general sessions are conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order member of the elections committee. Get a Petition today

A complete UBSUC State Convention Registration Package required by due date: (1) Individual Registration & T-shirt Form; (2) Emergency/Release Form; (3) Hotel & Room Reservation Form; (4) Scholarship Instruction and Application; (5) Souvenir Book Advertisement form; (6) Vendor Application form; (7) Rules/Code of Conduct; (8) Recommended Convention Attire.
