State Registration deadline will remain FEBRUARY 14th 2010. Registration fees will be paid directly to the respective region.  State fees and registration are paid to State. 

United Black Student Unions of California Scholarships

The United Black Student Unions of California is offering several scholarships to deserving African-American High School Seniors.
Although emphasis will be on four-year institutions, students planning to attend two-year colleges and/or Vocational or Technical Schools should
be encouraged to apply. The amount of the awards will vary. In evaluating applications, the scholarship committee will consider grade
point average, leadership ability, the student’s service as well as financial need. The applicant must be in attendance at the United Black
Student Unions of California State Convention in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship award. All information listed below must be completed before the Scholarship Committee will consider the submitted scholarship application.
Each student must:
1. Provide proof of attending 2 previous UBSUC conferences (regional or state)
2. Complete the 2-page scholarship application form. Please remember to Circle the scholarship type.
3. Submit three letters of recommendation - One recommendation letter must be from the student’s AASU/BSU Advisor.
4. Verify GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores by school counselor or registrar on application.
5. Submit an Official Transcript that includes seventh semester grades.
6. Write a biographical sketch. Please write your name, social security number, and school on all additional papers.
All scholarship material must be received BEFORE OR ON February 14, 2010 or package will be ineligible.
