WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE

What is our purpose?
To go dumb and sell dope

To rob, kill our brothers and grab women by the throat

What is our purpose?
To work on our flows, wear white tees

get no education and talk to hella hoes

What is our purpose?
Is it to got church, walk around and look Holy

But refuse to tell anyone about the Jesus story

What is our purpose ?
Is it to please our dads and moms

Or cater to the Caucasian race trying to act like Uncle Toms

What is our purpose?
What are you living for

To work hard make money

To buy the new Jordan’s at the store

We late to school and church

But on time to get the J’s

At 5 in the morning chomping on some Frito Lays

What is our purpose?
Is it to prove a point

To try to feel good while puffing on a joint

What is our purpose ?
As a black male growing up

Is it to walk around acting like we don’t give a…….

What is our purpose ?
Have we not seen those before

Who have fought the racial battles, civil rights, and opened the door

Do we not look up to those

The way they talked, walked,

And even the way they wore their clothes

What is ARE purpose?
To step up in this generation

Set an example, live right, and get an education 

What is R purpose?
To strive to help others

To treat people with respect and love our brothers

What is R purpose?
To take control of our lives

Stopping the violence and putting down the guns and knives

What is R purpose?
To put up high our black queens

To make a home for our family and provide all their needs

What is R purpose ?
To be there for ones in need

Releasing the shackles of pride, selfishness, and greed

What is R purpose ?
To be 2x better than the best

But have the patience AND  humbleness to hang with the rest

What is R purpose ?
To gain knowledge and transform it into wisdom that we may use everyday

So if I may……..
